I’ve already spent some time to find a way to watch TV streaming on my Ubuntu box but were too lazy to follow the unclear explanation. Instead of trying, I just open the VMware and run the application under Windows. Unfortunately, the video quality of this solution is too poor (still better than nothing). This night, in the spirit of watching Indonesia - Saudi Arabia tomorrow afternoon (CET time zone), I tried this one more time.

So, what you need to have is this two files:

• Download SopCast 1.0.2 for linux
• Download GTK-sopcast 0.2.8 Deb package

After that, just copy the content of the first file to the /usr/bin and install the second debian file. The application will be installed in Applications -> Sound/Video -> Sopcast TV Player. Start the application and you can begin to search for your favorite TV channel. BTW, my brother said that Star Sport will broadcast the match.
